Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Hotchkiss School. As a key member of our Health Center, you will provide exceptional primary health care and nursing intervention to our students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine and acute care needs in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and follow guidelines of universal precautions in all care rendered.
- Administer medication to students, ensuring proper documentation and monitoring for side effects and reactions.
- Maintain accurate and complete student health records, monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient condition.
- Perform assessment and treatment of health needs of the student body, making referrals to School resources as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and administration, exhibiting diplomacy, tact, discretion, and sensitivity.
- Valid, current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or eligibility to be licensed.
- Current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and AED from a recognized provider.
- Possess a high level of personal and professional integrity, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage diverse tasks, sometimes in a stressful environment.
The Hotchkiss School is a tobacco-free environment. Duties are generally performed in the School Health Center and may extend to other areas of the School's campus.
