Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion and foster a culture prioritizing safety across the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Conduct job hazard assessments to evaluate potential risks within our operations and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Review and update safety standards, policies, and practices to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for employees at all levels on safety and environmental protocols, collaborating with the Safety Manager to create comprehensive training materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports to fulfill corporate and regulatory obligations.
  • Perform safety and environmental inspections within the facility.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and preparedness.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective measures.
  • Lead the safety committee initiatives.
  • Facilitate job safety analyses and hazard evaluations.
  • Oversee accident investigations and ensure proper reporting.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Promote a zero-incident culture and emphasize the value of human resources.
  • Engage in ongoing training on safety and environmental issues.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit obligations.

  • Familiarity with ISO 14000 and OHSAS standards.
  • Proficient in training large groups effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with timely delivery.
  • Willingness to adapt schedules as necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.
  • Experience in conducting accident investigations.
  • Familiar with the job safety analysis process.
  • Able to lead and influence within a matrixed organization by fostering strong working relationships.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in safety, environmental, or engineering roles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and general database/web-based applications.
