Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Client Relations is tasked with spearheading the outreach of Avature's Global Private Equity (PE, Real Estate, Infrastructure) offerings to small and mid-sized institutional investors across the Southeast Asia Region. This role also involves supporting the Senior Relationship Manager in capital raising efforts from significant institutions in the area, including insurance companies, large corporations, and sovereign wealth funds. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify business opportunities and foster new initiatives proactively.

Key Responsibilities

85% of time:

  • Drive the successful growth of Avature's investor network within the Southeast Asia region.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with investors, investment consultants, and advisors by anticipating, understanding, and fulfilling their needs in a timely, fact-based, and professional manner.
  • Comprehend the investment goals and priorities of potential investors; effectively communicate the strategies, objectives, and performance of Avature's various funds; assist in enhancing the Avature brand locally while distinguishing and positioning Avature and its funds against competitors.
  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings with investors and prospects, ensuring that appropriate members of the firm's senior leadership team are present and well-prepared.

5% of time:

  • Act as one of the firm's representatives at regional conferences and industry events.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging policies, regulations, and future economic plans of governments, particularly in relation to private markets.

5% of time:

  • Document field activities and sales-related data in the firm's CRM system.

5% of time:

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of insightful presentations, RFP responses, and compelling marketing materials tailored to investors.

Qualifications

Education: A four-year degree from a top-tier university in any discipline.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in institutional fundraising, investment consulting, fund of funds, and/or consultant relations, ideally acquired at a private equity and/or private markets platform.

Proven track record of raising capital from a diverse range of institutional investors, investment consultants, family offices, and distribution partners. Demonstrated proactive and disciplined follow-up skills with a keen attention to detail, evidenced by a strong history of building and maintaining relationships with investors in a competitive landscape.

Extensive knowledge of private funds, asset classes, and markets, coupled with the communication skills necessary to articulate the Avature platform with sophistication and credibility to investors.

A self-motivated individual who thrives in a performance-driven, team-oriented environment, collaborating with other highly educated, successful, world-class professionals.

A strong alignment with the firm's corporate values of respect, integrity, and professionalism is essential.

Exceptional communication skills, confident, diplomatic, and influential, with strong verbal and written proficiency in English.

Unquestionable integrity is a must.

Technical Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with CRM tools is advantageous.
