Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist II to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasound images of internal organs for use by radiologists in the diagnosis of disease and the study of organ malfunction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, use ultrasound equipment to produce two-dimensional images of internal organs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
  • Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or equivalent required; current registration with ARRT or ARDMS within 24 months of eligibility or 6 months of start date.
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
