Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist II to join our Radiology Department at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) scanners to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT scanners to visualize pathologies and obtain high-quality images
  • Position patients for procedures and administer injections of contrast media as needed
  • Manipulate images to find the best possible image and reproduce screen images on film
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and ensure a positive experience
  • Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns they may have

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot problems related to software
  • IEMA licensure and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred
  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Ability to work varied evening hours, including on-call shifts and rotating weekends
