MedChi's Department of Behavioral Health is in search of a Board Eligible/Board Certified Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist. The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic and innovative spirit, thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. A fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred but not mandatory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric consultations and follow-up assessments for patients in medical and surgical settings. Key responsibilities include assessing and managing patients experiencing behavioral issues stemming from medical conditions, medication side effects, psychiatric disorders co-occurring with medical illnesses, and medical complications arising from psychiatric conditions. Opportunities for teaching within a resident training program are available.
