The Senior Oil & Gas Revenue Specialist position has emerged due to internal advancement, offering significant potential for career growth and expanded responsibilities, including Joint Interest Billing (JIB) Accounting.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Oil & Gas Revenue Specialist will be responsible for the compilation, preparation, and recording of monthly revenue figures. This includes coordinating the setup of new wells and ensuring that revenue recognition aligns with specific contractual stipulations.

Additional duties related to revenue accounting encompass:
  • Retrieving and reconciling electronic revenue data
  • Establishing and maintaining allocations for common meters and delivery points
  • Monitoring undisbursed items from purchaser checks, requesting decks, and researching production data
  • Collaborating with various departments and purchasers to gather essential information for accurate revenue entries
  • Engaging with purchasers when further information is necessary
  • Investigating discrepancies between production and revenue, identifying and tracking down missing revenues
  • Researching and reconciling revenue-related general ledger accounts
  • Compiling data for audit requests
  • Coordinating with the Controller and CFO, along with other departments, to provide required data for accounting functions
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Accounting sector
  • At least 3 years in a Revenue Accounting capacity within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Familiarity with IFS Excaliber upstream oil & gas accounting software is advantageous
  • Experience in small to mid-sized oil & gas companies, providing a comprehensive view of revenue processes
  • In-depth knowledge of Oil & Gas Revenue theory and practices
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support during audits, owner inquiries, and special projects as required
