Position Overview

Sonalysts, Inc. is in search of a Naval Surface Warfare Specialist with hands-on experience in operational combat systems to support the U.S. Navy, focusing on Surface Ship Combat Systems and their effective utilization.

Required Qualifications
  • Former Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Limited Duty Officer (LDO), or Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) with a minimum of 10 years of active duty experience in the U.S. Navy.
  • Combat Systems experience related to Aegis Combat and Weapons Systems or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), along with Shipboard Navigation Systems.
  • Experience on Surface Combatant Ships, including deployment in support of battle group operations.
  • Officer of the Deck (OOD) qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experiences are advantageous:

  • Completion of a tour on a CVN or Amphib Class Surface Ship.
  • Experience in ship deployment supporting battle group operations.
  • Test and Evaluation experience.
  • Tactics development and evaluation.
  • Tactical Action Officer (TAO) qualification.
  • Navy Instructor/Master Training Specialist (MTS).
  • Specialty fleet systems qualifications.

Note: Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance requires periodic comprehensive background checks.
