Naval Fires Training Support Manager

Position Overview:
Sigma Defense is in search of a seasoned expert in naval fires training to take on the role of Naval Fires Training Support Manager. This position will be pivotal in supporting the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will lead the Integrated Maritime Portable Acoustic Scoring Systems (IMPASS) initiatives while fulfilling various other essential functions.
Qualifications:
The ideal applicant should be a former Navy Fire Controlman or Operational Specialist with a minimum of five years of experience in naval firing and scoring systems or their equivalents. Additionally, candidates should possess five years of experience in a senior trainer or evaluator capacity.
Experience on a Strike Group or Numbered Fleet Commander staff, or equivalent Department of Defense roles, focusing on naval firing and scoring systems for at least three years is highly preferred.
Contractual Note:
This role is contingent upon the successful award of a contract, meaning the position will be confirmed once the contract is finalized.

Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with naval firing/scoring systems or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in a senior trainer/evaluator role.
- At least 3 years of experience on an SG or NFC staff or equivalent DoD staff.
Additional Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in areas such as:
- Subject matter expertise in task requirements (e.g., Academics, Warfare Areas, Program or Policy support).
- Training management and curriculum development.
- Conducting fleet and joint training assessments to identify gaps and training needs.
- Delivering training both in-person and online.
- Designing and modifying training scenarios.
- Managing training projects and leading teams.
- Engaging with senior staff at high levels.
Security Clearance:
Candidates must possess or be able to obtain an active DoD issued Secret security clearance or higher, with sponsorship available for the right candidate.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience is required. Equivalent experience is defined as two additional years of relevant experience.
Job Duties (not exhaustive):
- Provide IMPASS support as team leader and safety observer.
- Conduct IMPASS deployment training for naval fires training programs.
- Offer system performance feedback to engineering and maintenance commands.
- Support naval surface fires training in live and synthetic exercises.
- Develop and maintain instructional materials and support curriculum review.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually.
