Your Opportunity
Stantec's Water division is looking for a seasoned Quality Assurance Inspector to become part of our Construction Services team. This position encompasses a variety of demanding responsibilities in consulting and construction oversight, emphasizing technical expertise, project execution, and leadership across multiple construction endeavors.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and evaluations of projects during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to plans and regulatory standards.
- Track construction progress to align with budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks.
- Engage with project stakeholders and provide regular updates on project developments.
- Assess change orders and assist in securing necessary permits for site operations.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage files effectively.
- Collaborate with the Project Team on various project-related assignments.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Familiarity with building regulations, construction methodologies, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as within project teams.
- Experience in interpreting engineering plans and utilizing Microsoft Office tools.
- Preferred experience in construction management and AutoCAD.
- Certifications such as OSHA 10 and Confined Space Entry are advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
Education and Experience
A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A willingness to operate in both field and office settings, including travel for project needs, is essential.
