Electronics Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Specialist to join our team at Scientific Research Corporation. As an Electronics Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into multiple variants of ship vessels. You will also assist technical staff members in the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the fabrication and integration of C4ISR systems into multiple variants of ship vessels.
- Assist technical staff members in the fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems.
- Take test readings using common instruments such as multi-meter, time-domain reflectometer (TDR), and optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR).
- Run and install cables into ship provided cableways. Banding and cable labeling required. Open and close MCTs and work with kickpipes.
- Provide feedback to production management and QA with identified issues/defects in design or during the fabrication/integration phase with regards to cables or equipment racks.
- Perform on-site installation of equipment and products in the continental United States within various environments to include Naval Bases and privately owned shipyards.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions.
- Perform cableway inspections/cableway certs/Firewatch.
- Meet the minimum skills requirements listed below.
- High School Diploma/GED/Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
- 8+ years of related experience installing, fabricating, maintaining and repairing C4I systems.
- Shipboard Electronics installation experience to include understanding of the following standards: MIL-STD-1310H, MIL-STD-1678-1D, MIL-STD-2003A, and MIL-STD-2042C.
- Proficiency in using cable fabrication hand tools to include but not limited to: Heat Guns, Hand Soldering Stations, and various crimp tools.
- Cable Fabrication assembly experience with the following types of cables: RF, CAT5/6, Heliax, Multi-pin MIL-STD Cannon Plugs.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Must possess a valid 10-hour OSHA Maritime Shipyard Employment Course #7615 or NAVSEA-approved equivalent completion card and shall maintain the qualification.
- C4ISR Navy Shipboard experience.
- Navy A C School.
- Fiber Optic Termination and Testing Experience (NAVSEA Rev C MIL-STD-2042C) - certification from KITCO or kSARIA must be provided.
