Key Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a safe environment within MRI Safety Zones.
  • Maintaining proficiency in IV starts for contrast administration.
  • Initiating and concluding exams while documenting in the EMR system.
  • Providing care for patients undergoing moderate and deep sedation.
  • Participating in standby rotation as assigned.
  • Delivering age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Keeping a log of patients, procedures, complications, and system issues.
  • Understanding and applying the physics behind MRI technology.
  • Conducting quality control functions in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Assisting physicians as needed.
  • Facilitating patient scheduling and transportation.
