Position Summary:

As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be an essential member of a security team responsible for safeguarding critical facilities and public venues requiring a heightened security presence. This role is vital to the wide array of specialized security services that Inter-Con offers its clients daily.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity.
  • Assist individuals with routine inquiries and resolve minor issues.
  • Monitor the ingress and egress of personnel at client facilities.
  • Observe and promptly report incidents to the appropriate authorities or emergency services.
  • Contact local law enforcement or emergency services in critical situations.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure the security of premises.
  • Document any incidents or irregularities.
  • Report maintenance issues to the relevant departments.
  • Safeguard property and deter theft through regular security checks.
  • Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports.
Qualifications:
  • Must demonstrate mental alertness and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions and produce clear reports.
  • Competent in monitoring security systems.
Requirements:
  • Undergo a physical examination prior to assignment.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Complete training in security protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with state policies on workplace conduct.
  • Training in operating security and communication systems.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Licensing & Certifications:
  • Valid California Driver's License or ID required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification must be maintained.
  • Guard Registration card required.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to perform a range of security duties requiring physical stamina.
  • Good health without conditions that could hinder job performance.
  • Vision and hearing capabilities must meet specified standards.
