Job Description:

The Sous Chef is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen and food production outlets. Key responsibilities include advising the Restaurant Chef on matters related to the kitchen area, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, managing employees across culinary, servers, and stewarding, and overseeing the overall direction and evaluation of the restaurant unit.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing high-production kitchens and implementing analytical cost efficiency strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Servesafe Sanitation certification is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the Restaurant Chef on kitchen operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Manage employees across culinary, servers, and stewarding departments.
  • Oversee the overall direction and evaluation of the restaurant unit.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop employees.
