Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Food & Beverage Director to lead our culinary operations at Gecko Hospitality in Asheville, North Carolina. This dynamic role requires a proven leader with exceptional leadership skills, a strong culinary background, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Culinary Leadership:
The ideal candidate will oversee the development and execution of innovative menus that align with market trends and customer preferences, ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste across all outlets.

Operational Management:
This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and catering services, while monitoring and managing budgets, expenses, and financial performance.

Team Leadership:
The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring culinary and service staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize team performance.

Customer Experience:
Focus on creating a memorable dining experience for guests by maintaining high service standards and responding to customer feedback to implement improvements and enhance guest satisfaction.

Vendor Relationships:
The candidate will establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients and supplies.

Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling standards, implementing and enforcing proper sanitation and hygiene practices.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a proven track record as a Food & Beverage Director or similar role in the hospitality industry, a culinary degree or equivalent experience, and strong knowledge of culinary trends, food preparation, and presentation. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, along with excellent financial acumen and budget management experience, are also essential.

Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in food and beverage management. We estimate the annual salary for this role to be around $80,000 - $110,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
