About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Merchandise Expert to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for our guests, ensuring the sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed, and executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service, including greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing, with merchandise properly displayed and signed, and that inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Execute daily/weekly workload, including processing inbound deliveries, completing backroom fills, and maintaining backroom and fixture room organization.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and support business priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, sales trends, and inventory management to make informed decisions and drive sales growth.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a sales floor or inventory management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
