As a Produce Associate - Fresh Foods Expert, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our produce department meets the highest standards of freshness, quality, and appearance.



Role Overview

As a Produce Associate, you'll be responsible for maintaining the overall environment of the produce department, providing assistance to members through product knowledge and customer service. You'll ensure that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards, and rotate produce on the sales floor to ensure optimal freshness and variety.



Responsibilities


  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, recommending products, and safe handling tips to members.
  • Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery, ensuring all received produce meets or exceeds company produce standards.
  • Rotate produce on the sales floor to ensure optimal freshness and variety, and ensure cases and display areas are fully stocked.
  • Maintain the produce reserve stock area, dating and rotating all back stock items, and ensuring the storage area is organized and condensed daily.
  • Follow established guidelines when disposing of damaged, spoiled, and/or expired products.
  • Assist the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the produce cooler and refrigerated display cases.
  • Generate signage for produce goods and perform price check functions when necessary, ensuring all items are accurately priced and signed.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.


Requirements


  • Work experience in a produce department is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items, is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the above-mentioned salary range is a good faith estimate and may vary based on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
