Urology and Pediatrics Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team in the Urology and Pediatrics department at Trinity Health. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Collect and send specimens, including blood and blood cultures, and insert and remove peripheral IV catheters.
- Record patient information and required data in appropriate areas to meet documentation requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the treatment team, including RNs, Patient Care Techs, Patient Care Assistants, Unit Clerks, Nurse Coordinator, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Case Nurses, and Dieticians.
- Provide patient education and support to promote health and well-being.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of previous direct care experience (acute or long term) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
- Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
