Facilities Management Director

As a Healthcare Facilities Management Director at Compass Group Careers, you will lead the overall management of the Plant Operations & Maintenance Departments within our hospital campus environment. Your key responsibilities will include planning, prioritizing, and controlling functions and activities under the scope of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Meet with hospital clients and staff as needed to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and communicate programs and policies.
- Supervise the flow and quality of work to ensure completion of workload and consistency with facility standards.
- Prepare and lead departmental budgets, including utilities energy savings programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other relevant business appointments.
- Supervise work performance and prepare and/or review performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
- Guide employees on salient features of facility personnel and employee relations programs and answer any questions.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction and development of physical facilities.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend approval of plans for construction.
- Serve as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of responsibility at a director level in areas of engineering, maintenance, and construction in a healthcare institution.
- Previous Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital required.
- Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
- Ability to meet established goals and objectives.
- Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge and expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations and the ability to interpret and implement.
