We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Behavioral Health team at St John's Hospital.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and supporting their overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Some key responsibilities of the Behavioral Health CNA include:

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitoring patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the nursing staff.
  • Providing support during group therapy sessions, recreational activities, and other treatment programs.
  • Encouraging patients to participate in their care plan and assisting them in identifying and expressing their needs.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment by assisting with housekeeping tasks, organizing patient belongings, and ensuring proper storage of medical supplies.
  • Documenting patient care activities, observations, and interventions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participating in mandatory in-service training programs to maintain certification and stay current on best practices in behavioral health care.
  • Adhering to all HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Requirements include a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, current BLS, and a minimum of six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.
