Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Behavioral Health team at Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. As a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with acute psychiatric needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care, and maintain a safe environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and report to the staff RN and other members of the treatment team.
  • Maintain safety checks and assessments of individual patients and the Behavioral Health environment.
  • Assist patients with physical and emotional needs, deal with patient emergencies, and work as a member of a clinical team.
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
