Adult Psychiatrist Position at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem

We are seeking a dynamic Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will provide psychiatric management for adults, age 18 and up, in an acute inpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
* Provide psychiatric management for adults, age 18 and up, in an acute inpatient setting
* Develop treatment plans and manage electronic medical record (EPIC) in accordance with New York State Office of Mental Health and other regulations
* Work with consultants as indicated by patient needs
* Lead Multi-disciplinary Inpatient team with Caseload of 12 or less
* Supervision of NP's and or Psychiatry residents
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team in management of complex cases
* Participate in didactic training programs for psychiatric residents, medical students, psychology interns and other trainees
* Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Qualifications:
* Must be board eligible or board certified in Adult Psychiatry
* M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
* Completed residency training in an accredited program within Adult Psychiatry
* License to practice medicine in the State of New York
Benefits:
* Annual Base Salary: $236,900* (board eligible); $247,200* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
* Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
* Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
* 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
* Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
* After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
* Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
* Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
