Key Responsibilities- Medication Preparation: Assist in the preparation of medications, including selecting, counting, compounding, packaging, and labeling, in accordance with established departmental guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers at the pharmacy window, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels, including prepackaging and assembly of medications for future dispensing.
- Pharmacy Operations: Perform advanced operations of pharmacy automated systems, including automated dispensing machine reporting, central pharmacy automation maintenance, and advanced oral compounding.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training and mentoring of new technicians, students, residents, and pharmacists, providing evaluation feedback on training performance.
- Credentials: Registered Pharmacy Tech-NC within 90 days of hire date, National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB), and registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire date.
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: One year of experience as a pharmacy technician at NHRMC or two years of healthcare experience prior to hire, or graduate of ASHP accredited pharmacy technology associates program or diploma program and one year of healthcare experience.
