  • Prescription Data Entry: Enter and manage prescription data, communicating with customers and insurance companies as needed.
  • Consent Forms: Review and verify consent forms for medication administration.
  • Data Reporting: Report vaccine data and other relevant information as required.
  • Direct Supervision: Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing.
  • Final Checking: Assist the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, including staging and packaging.
  • Delivery Coordination: Coordinate and stage items for delivery to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers.
  • Written Prescription Verification: Receive and verify written prescriptions or refill requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Storage and Security: Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs, including receiving and storing incoming supplies.
  • Pharmaceutical Preparations: Mix pharmaceutical preparations according to written prescriptions.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects as needed, supporting location, departmental goals, and company objectives.
  • Compliance: Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct, maintaining uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.
  • Professional Competencies: Maintain professional and technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
  • Company Policies: Comply with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED: Required.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in pharmacy, especially long-term care, is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent communication skills and customer-facing abilities.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Professional Demeanor: Exhibits a professional demeanor and ability to guide or train.
  • Analytical Skills: Exhibits strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Exhibits excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong user support orientation.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibits strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Environment:

Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
