Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at EMPLOYEEPHARM - NHRMC Employee Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care, adhering to current policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including patient information and medication lists.
  • Participate in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in pharmacy settings, with one year of experience in sterile compounding (of IV and/or chemotherapy admixture) required for outpatient oncology positions.
  • Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of pharmacy required; PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire, or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPEGG/FPGEC, required.
  • Additional skills required: strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, basic technology skills, and ability to work as part of a high-performing team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of medication names, doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects.
  • Ability to demonstrate patient interview skills and strong written and verbal communication skills with other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience with inventory management and medication therapy management.
