Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at UNM Hospitals. As a Bilingual RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients and serve as a clinical leader for other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Requirements
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

Working conditions include exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
