Job Title: Bilingual Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

UNM Hospitals is seeking a Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Bilingual RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients and families, while also serving as a clinical leader and role model. This is a part-time position working nights, with a 0.60 FTE.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and reading current literature.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.

Working Conditions:

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
