Job Title: Bilingual Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Bilingual Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients with diverse backgrounds and languages, utilizing your exceptional communication skills to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients with diverse backgrounds and languages
  • Utilize exceptional communication skills to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Program Graduate, Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate, RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM, CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification w/in 6 months, Basic Arrhythmia Cert w/in 1 year, PALS w/in 6 months of position
  • Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree, Nationally Certified in area of specialty, PALS, TNCC and/or ENPC

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
  • Essential: Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE
