Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's condition and nursing needs; set goals and utilize appropriate nursing actions to achieve goals
  • Provide and document nursing care, ensuring that physician's orders are carried out
  • Administer medications and perform routine treatments, while maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including procedures and complex treatments
  • Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel, while serving as a mentor to patients and staff
Requirements
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
  • 3 years of directly related experience, with bilingual skills in English and Spanish
Working Conditions

This role requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

This position involves working with biohazardous materials, requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).
