The Loss Prevention Officer / Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of associates, guests, and assets of the company. This role involves enforcing hotel policies and procedures, investigating incidents, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and report on potential security threats and incidents
- Assist in enforcing hotel policies and procedures
- Investigate incidents and prepare accurate reports
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations
- Monitor and distribute visitor and vendor access to the property
- Perform frequent bag checks for associates leaving the property
- Escort and interact with special guests as needed
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive guest or associate issues
- Assist hotel management in emergencies
- Previous experience as a security officer is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively by radio and reporting
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours in length
- First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
