As a Culinary Associate, you will be tasked with preparing menu items and following recipes as outlined by the Chef de Cuisine. You will be responsible for managing your station in line with the standards and expectations of Gianna. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back of house is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently set up and operate line stations as required
  • Complete daily station mise en place promptly and effectively
  • Consistently prepare menu items according to established recipes
  • Collaborate professionally with fellow kitchen staff
  • Operate, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area
  • Participate in weekly deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • Taste food as necessary before and during service
  • Adhere to all food safety and kitchen safety protocols
  • Continuously enhance your culinary skills

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Basic knife skills are essential
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices
  • Understanding of food safety regulations
  • A genuine passion for food and hospitality

Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires visual acuity, auditory skills, verbal communication, reaching, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing or sitting, bending, and intermittent movement throughout the workday. These physical demands can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
