Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgical Environment Technician to join our team at United Surgical Partners. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare procedure rooms for cleanliness and ensure all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized.
  • Clean and disinfect all surfaces, including furniture, lights, and equipment, using approved cleaning solutions.
  • Assess the perioperative environment regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement cleaning and disinfection procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with other surgical and environmental services personnel to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Dispose of contaminated laundry and handle disposable and reusable items safely and according to facility policies and regulations.
  • Adhere to blood-borne pathogen standards and standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform hand hygiene regularly and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
