The Armed Services YMCA of The U S A is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child and Youth Program Assistant-Supervisory to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and supervision to children and youth aged 4-12 years old.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe and engaging childcare services to children and youth, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Supervise and mentor Child and Youth Professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent program delivery.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities, programs, and events that promote learning, socialization, and fun.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure seamless communication and support for children and youth.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with ASYMCA policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a childcare setting or related field.
- CPR/First Aid certification and 48 hours of training or equivalent certifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- 3 years of experience working with children and youth in a childcare setting or related field.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Military School-Age (MSA) credential or 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or related field.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of a wide variety of child and youth activities, programs, and services.
