Child Care Coordinator

Overview
The Child Care Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of a before and after school program site with 30 to 100 school-age children enrolled. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure a safe and secure environment for children and effective collaboration with school staff and parents.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of the food program and document attendance
- Establish working relationships with school principals, teachers, and staff
- Ensure compliance with ASYMCA and Texas State Daycare Licensing program guidelines
- Plan, supervise, and implement the program in accordance with established goals, policies, and procedures
- Provide leadership and guidance to site staff
- Establish effective communication with parents and school personnel
- Ensure accurate documentation of attendance, absentees, and emergency information on each child
- Manage program fees, issue receipts, and maintain up-to-date records on all children enrolled
- Coordinate schedules with school calendars and ensure maintenance of quality supplies, equipment, and materials
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Previous experience working with children ages 4-12 years old
- Minimum one year's experience supervising other staff
- Ability to relate well with children, parents, and school staff
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Child Development Associate Credential or Certified Childcare Professional Credential
Work Environment
The work environment is generally set in a school location, with outside activities required as weather permits. Noise level is moderate daily.
Travel
20% travel is expected for this position, requiring the ability to travel from one facility to another and pick up supplies and visit personnel as needed.
