Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Specialist to join our team at the Christian Children's Home of Ohio. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our youth residents, helping them develop healthy relationships and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and supervision to residents, including daily routines, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of residents are met.
  • Utilize Safe Crisis Management (SCM) de-escalation and restraint techniques to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, social training, and recreational activities to promote positive relationships and a safe environment.
  • Transport residents to scheduled appointments and maintain accurate records of resident activities and progress.
Requirements
  • Age 21+, high school diploma or GED, and valid Ohio driver's license required.
  • Previous experience with children preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with CCHO's requirements for using physical restraints and ability to respond to crisis situations.
