Medical Assistant

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN Unit team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient-first healthcare, working alongside dedicated caregivers to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with performing screening and treatments by gathering information related to health maintenance, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.
- Update health maintenance at patient visit, accurately identify medication changes and update allergy information at each visit.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. Administer specific medications under direction of provider.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas.
- Assist in pre-visit planning by updating the health maintenance tab.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program.
- Current demonstrated clinical completion of a clinical externship.
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required within new hire period.
