About the Position

The Department of Restorative Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, open tenure faculty position at open rank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a vertically integrated curriculum, as well as contributing to research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Teach preclinical and clinical courses in prosthodontics
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly articles
  • Participate in departmental and university service

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
  • Completion of a CODA-accredited Advanced Education in Prosthodontics residency
  • Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in academic teaching and research
  • Eligibility to participate in an intramural faculty practice
