Position Overview:

Blue Balloon ABA is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide in-home support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role is essential in helping children develop essential skills and reach their full potential.

Work Schedule: This position requires availability Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized therapy to children with ASD, focusing on enhancing communication, social interaction, and independent functioning.
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies and monitor progress through data collection.
  • Utilize electronic data collection tools for real-time tracking of client achievements.
  • Participate in clinical meetings to discuss client progress and receive guidance from supervisors.
  • Receive comprehensive training in various ABA methodologies from experienced clinicians.

Daily Activities:

  • Provide one-on-one therapy tailored to each child's needs.
  • Execute behavior acquisition and reduction plans effectively.
  • Conduct assessments to determine client preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and program activities.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to discuss daily advancements.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to set and review individualized goals.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and well-being of all clients.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and training.

Our approach integrates various therapeutic disciplines, including speech and occupational therapy, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each child's unique needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background check clearance is mandatory upon hiring.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with ASD, is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Physical capability to meet job demands, including lifting and active engagement with children.
