Job Summary

As a Catering Captain with Compass Group Careers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of catering events. Your responsibilities will include coordinating catering staff schedules, preparing and serving food, and delivering food and beverages to scheduled locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery of functions
  • Prepare and serve food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director
  • May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and instruct staff on work expectations
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications and assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations
  • Serve food and beverages to guests and ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law
