Job Overview

USA Clinics Group is in search of a meticulous and experienced Accounts Receivable Collections Expert to enhance our Revenue Cycle operations. The Accounts Receivable Collections Expert will primarily oversee the management of patient accounts that are overdue, including the initiation of collections processes. This role entails negotiating repayment plans with patients and providing support in various functions within the billing department as necessary.

Note: Candidates must be able to commute to the designated work location Monday through Friday. Remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with insurance providers to inquire about claim statuses, address denials, underpayments, and recoupments.
  • Interpret and comprehend insurance eligibility and benefits documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve outstanding claim discrepancies and trends.
  • Prepare Appeals for claims that have been denied.
  • Submit necessary Medical Records and documentation requests to insurance entities.
  • Handle over 40 denied claims daily via phone and provider portals.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, call center, or medical collections is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting insurance remittance advice, including denial and remark codes is mandatory.
  • Ability to understand remittance denial codes and facilitate claims reprocessing is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Aetna, BCBS, UHC, Medicare, and Medicaid denials is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-state insurance denial collections is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
  • Experience dealing with denials related to Varicose veins and/or Dialysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of provider portal eligibility and claims tools, such as Availity and Navinet, is preferred.
  • A strong personality with the ability to effectively negotiate with insurance claims representatives to reverse denials.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Capability to maintain organized and efficient systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
