Job Title: Buffet Setup

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and attentive Buffet Setup to join our team at Interlachen Country Club. As a Buffet Setup, you will be responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience for our members and guests by serving food and beverages according to established rules of etiquette.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check daily function sheets for special set-ups and report to the supervisor for any special instructions.
  • Perform all side-work duties required for set-up, including taking beverage and food orders, if necessary.
  • Alert the supervisor to potential problems with over consumption of alcohol or underage drinking.
  • Address members with a friendly and courteous attitude, ensuring all needs are met or exceeded.
  • Replenish items as needed and communicate effectively with the host/member, back of house, and management.
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of the workstation.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all food and wine menus.
  • Be flexible in dealing with last-minute changes and maintain a positive attitude throughout.
  • Advises the supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur and reports any rule infractions.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable appearance as per our uniform policy.
  • Responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the Club Bylaws and Rules.
  • Perform all side-work at the end of the shift and complete server reports, if necessary.
  • Reports to the supervisor before leaving the premises.

Requirements:

  • May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to work in the heat and sun for periods of time.
  • Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.
  • Must carry and balance loaded trays.
  • Must be capable of working under pressure.
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment.

Reports to: F&B Manager or Supervisor
