Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PET/CT-Mobile Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing routine and advanced PET/CT procedures for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury.

Responsibilities
  • Screen patients before procedures for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
  • Explain and prepare patients for PET/CT procedures that will be performed.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Assess, prepare, record and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state regulations and departmental policies.
  • Perform daily and weekly departmental surveys to ensure compliance of radiation standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state regulations.
  • Travel to various medical facilities on a mobile route.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
