We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and sophisticated radiation detecting equipment.
Responsibilities:- Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established protocols.
- Administer prescribed pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients.
- Demonstrate appropriate radioactive materials safety measures.
- Ensure availability of physician for procedures requiring medication administration and supervision.
- Maintain required documentation regarding radioactive materials.
- Perform surveys and document findings of work area, patient rooms, and radioactive waste storage area.
- Enter procedure charges to patient accounts.
- Coordinate scheduled procedures with radioactive materials and supplies.
- Associate Degree and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Program.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- State Regulated Radiological Tech or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board.
- Current certification for BLS Healthcare Provider.
