Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Inside Account Manager who is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve intricate challenges. This role involves direct and consistent interaction with our clientele, fostering relationships that are essential for business growth. Your success will be gauged by your ability to meet sales targets while surpassing customer expectations, working alongside Outside Account Managers to enhance your skills and career development in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive a high-performance sales strategy.
- Process customer Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) efficiently.
- Manage customer requirements, ensuring timely follow-ups and expedient order processing.
- Lead sales forecasting initiatives, analyze account performance, and promote sales growth.
- Collaborate with Outside Account Managers and Project Managers to optimize profit margins and inventory management for key accounts.
- Review and refine work processes to uphold internal and external quality standards, suggesting improvements where necessary.
- Explore innovative and practical alternatives to enhance AWC's ability to close orders at favorable margins.
Qualifications
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across various functions to achieve shared objectives.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and high energy, coupled with accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to provide after-hours and weekend support as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (4-year) or a 2-year technical degree, preferably in Engineering.
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Basic knowledge of Electrical and Automation products, including PLCs, IOs, Safety Devices, and more.
- Fundamental understanding of electricity, panel design/wiring, and manufacturing/OEM processes.
