Position Overview

The Vehicle Rental Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role as the primary sales representative for vehicle rentals, catering to both existing commercial rental accounts and potential customers. This position requires collaboration across various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, while demonstrating exceptional customer communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Marketing: Manage the sales process for inbound inquiries and outbound outreach. Execute the marketing strategy for the business unit. Maintain accurate data in the marketing database. Identify and maximize rental, lease, and used vehicle sales opportunities. Foster and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Operations & Asset Management: Oversee the profitability and operations of the rental location. Collaborate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Relations: Drive revenue growth by nurturing customer relationships. Ensure satisfaction for all internal and external stakeholders. Address and resolve customer concerns to maintain strong relationships.
  • Communication: Build effective relationships with customers and colleagues. Maintain professionalism in stressful situations. Clearly communicate Ryder's products and services.

Additional Duties

  • On a voluntary basis, the Rental Sales Consultant may take on the role of On-Call Representative as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of sales experience.
