Housekeeping Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping professional to join our team at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Sherwood, Oregon. As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Stock and maintain housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies, fresh linens, and guest amenities.
  • Clean guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and removing linen and trash.
  • Change and replenish bed linens, towels, and other guest amenities as needed.
  • Clean other designated areas, including restrooms, public areas, offices, and meeting rooms.
  • Ensure all hotel property is in working order and report any issues to management.
  • Respond to guest requests and report any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Turn in and log any guest property left in rooms or public spaces.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings to learn assignments and tasks.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, including flipping mattresses and moving furniture.
  • Perform guest turn-down service as needed.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hospitality housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Able to understand and speak some English.
  • Able to prioritize work assignments and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate genuine care for customers and employees.
Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this job include standing and walking for up to 8 hours, with occasional sitting or walking for extended periods. Finger dexterity is required, and grasping, writing, and repetitive motions may be necessary. The employee may be subjected to moderate to loud noise levels and outdoor weather conditions.

The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Consistent attendance is required, and the employee may be required to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
