h3Job Summary/h3pWe are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team at the Town Of Pecos City. As a key member of our public safety department, you will be responsible for receiving and transmitting emergency and administrative messages over combined police, fire, and medical communications systems./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/pulliReceives and transmits emergency and administrative messages over combined police, fire, and medical communications systems./liliPlans, organizes, and performs work according to standardized procedures./liliEnters information into Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD) and RMS System./liliRetrieves information for dispatch from CAD System./liliDispatches police vehicles by radio, receives and transmits orders and instructions using appropriate code language to police officers at the scene of an emergency./liliCoordinates with Patrol Sergeant, dispatching of back-up units./liliCoordinates radio communication with State Police and other local Police Departments as needed./liliReceives fire emergency calls, or fire security system signal, sounds alarm and monitors equipment responding by radio./liliDispatches police vehicle to emergency medical calls, notifies ambulance service to respond as needed./liliUses computer terminal to input, retrieve and transmit information from National Crime Information System./liliReceives and transmits information from state motor vehicle files to patrol officers./liliReceives and transmits calls to Canine Control Officers./liliReports major criminal or emergency calls to Chief of Police or Officer in Charge./liliEnters data into computer system for record keeping./liliRetrieves data from computer system and assists in preparation of court information files and case incident reports and prepares files and records./liliMaintains daily log, wrecker rotation log and security systems files./liliResponds to after-hour informational calls for town departments./liliTests and performs minor maintenance on equipment./liliReports equipment failure to supervisor./liliMonitors prisoner cells by internal television system./liliPerforms related administrative-clerical duties as required./liliPerforms other duties assigned./li/ulpbRequirements:/b/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED/liliPossess a valid Texas Driver's License/liliAbility to verbally communicate effectively under stressful conditions. Ability to type.
