Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on labor and union-related issues and interpret contractual agreements
  • Oversee disciplinary matters, grievances, and arbitration processes
  • Engage in union organizing efforts and collective bargaining negotiations
  • Facilitate training sessions on labor relations and strategies for union avoidance
  • Advise on matters of employment law, including terminations and disciplinary procedures
  • Conduct thorough internal investigations regarding policy breaches
  • Negotiate and draft agreements related to employment
  • Review and update company policies and procedures
  • Supervise external legal counsel during litigation
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree along with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution
  • Active membership in a state bar association
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor and employment law
  • Experience managing arbitrations in accordance with the National Labor Relations Act
  • Exceptional communication abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of labor and employment legislation
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time

Compensation Range: $180,000 - $200,000
