CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

WE ARE SEEKING A HIGHLY SKILLED CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER WITH A STRONG BACKGROUND IN PROCESS CONTROL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING TO PLAY A KEY ROLE IN OUR EXPANSION.

  • LOCATION: On-site
  • CLIENTS: Government and Water Treatment sectors
  • SALARY: $100,000 - $135,000 plus benefits

ABOUT US:

We are a dynamic electrical design and manufacturing firm experiencing significant growth. You will be part of a distinguished engineering team focused on the design and development of electronic products, particularly in process control and systems engineering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will take the lead in designing and drafting intricate electrical, instrumentation, and control systems with minimal oversight. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing comprehensive technical construction plans and specifications, covering areas such as Power Distribution, Lighting, Motor Controls, and PLC/RTU controls.
  • Applying your expertise in Process Control and Control Systems Design.
  • Utilizing your Electrical Engineering and Systems Engineering knowledge to design industrial control panels.
  • Exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Coordinating project documentation, including submittals and change orders.
  • Interpreting technical specifications to create bills of materials and instrumentation lists.
  • Reviewing and refining control panel drawings and bills of materials from the design team.
  • Participating in project meetings with contractors and clients, ensuring material and labor costs remain within budget.
  • Understanding P&ID Drawings and creating I/O lists and PLC diagrams.
  • Sizing power circuits for motor controls, including circuit breakers and motor starters.
  • Programming PLCs and HMIs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Public Works or Water Treatment projects is advantageous.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster relationships.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
