Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the commissioning, programming, and setup of system graphics and communication links, ensuring thorough end-to-end testing and troubleshooting on assigned projects.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for point-to-point verification, validation of operational sequences, and completion of project requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction through effective identification, diagnosis, and resolution of equipment and system issues at client locations.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and clients to accurately assess installation and repair needs by analyzing building layouts, anticipating challenges, gathering necessary materials, and coordinating on-site activities.
  • Stay updated on the latest Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of direct digital control systems.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards while ensuring the security and accountability of company assets by meticulously recording usage and condition.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and customer service by being adaptable to work overtime and on weekends as business demands, including occasional overnight travel.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in HVAC, Building Automation Systems, or a related field, or equivalent certification and experience, with a minimum of 7 years in HVAC/Controls. Formal training or technical school background is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using handheld devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets).
  • Strong understanding of low voltage electricity, electronics (including board-level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building automation techniques.
  • A proactive approach to personal development and a willingness to support the growth of colleagues.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no violations in the past three years).
Additional Requirements and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely and legally while using seat belts.
  • Capability to wear safety gear such as helmets, goggles, fall protection harnesses, and safety boots while performing job duties.
  • Physical ability to twist the torso 90 degrees in each direction, squat and touch the floor with both hands, and reach overhead.
  • Capacity to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, typically up to 4 hours.
  • This position is physically demanding, requiring regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting of more than 40 lbs. with special approval.
  • Ability to safely use ladders with a total weight limit of 375 lbs., while carrying equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to navigate access areas as small as 30" vertical x 45" horizontal.
  • Comfortable accessing rooftops using extension and/or fixed ladders at heights ranging from 15' to 20', and occasionally up to 50 feet or more.
  • This role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, electrical hazards, noisy equipment, and other environmental factors based on the work location.
